British Education System Explained:

| 14-16 | GCSE, (General Certificate of Secondary education) | Students can study between 5-10 subjects |
| 16-18 | A-Level (Advanced Level) Students will need good grades at GCSE to cope with A-Levels in the subject areas in which they wish to specialise | 4 A/S subjects – year 13 A2 subjects – year 2Specialised subjects |
| 17+ | University Foundation Programme – One year course leading to University | Specialised, e.g Business, Engineering, Computer Science & Pharmacy |
| 18-21 | Undergraduate Degree | 3 years |
| 21+ | Masters Degree | 1 year |
